Practice Papers that are never the same twice

Every parent who has bought assessment books knows the problem: a finite stack of papers. Once a child has worked through them, repeats are just memory tests. AL1 Tutor's Mock Exam module solves this by generating papers parametrically — the same question structure with fresh numbers and contexts each time, so the practice never runs dry.

What "parametric" means in practice

Each question is built from a template with variable parts. A ratio question keeps its underlying method but changes the names, quantities, and answer every time it is generated. Your child cannot memorise the answer key, because there isn't one — they have to actually apply the method. That is exactly the skill the real exam tests.

Certified and MOE-scoped

Papers are available across P6, Secondary 1 to 4, JC1, and JC2. Every template is checked against the current MOE syllabus scope before it can appear — so a 2026 P6 paper will not include Speed (removed) but will include Algebra (added). Only certified templates are served; nothing reaches your child's practice until it has passed review.

Instant marking with reasoning

When the paper is submitted it is marked immediately. Crucially, wrong answers are not just flagged red — each one comes with the reasoning for the correct answer, so a mistake becomes a learning moment rather than a dead end.

Each paper also shows a per-topic breakdown: a summary of how the child performed across the topics the paper covered. This turns a single score into a map of strengths and gaps.

How to use it well

  • Do papers under timed, exam-like conditions — pacing is a skill that only improves under pressure.
  • After marking, do not just re-read the wrong answers. Go back to the underlying topic and practise it specifically.
  • Use the per-topic breakdown to decide what to revise next, rather than guessing.
  • Generate a fresh paper on the same weak topic a few days later to confirm the gap has closed.

How it helps

For students, unlimited fresh papers mean genuine practice instead of memorisation, and instant marking removes the wait for a parent or tutor to grade. For parents, the per-topic breakdown answers the question that matters most: not "what did they score?" but "what do they need to work on?"

Generate a practice paper at /mock-exam. Choose the level, sit it under timed conditions, and use the per-topic breakdown afterwards to decide what to revise next.
